Trade of the day

Good morning fellow traders and sports enthusiasts! Plenty of footie today so let’s crack on with our main game.

No live trading today as we busy ourselves with making new live trading videos, exciting times ahead!

Fulham v Arsenal 5.30pm

Fulham won this fixture last year 1-0 and it was 0-0 at the Emirates. Fulham have injury concerns and will be without Davies, Johnson, Kallio and Nevland. Arsenal welcome back the little Russian genius Arshavin and Walcott also may feature at some point in the game adding some pace. Almunia though has a chest infection and so in doubt.

Back 1-2 and lay off as usual.

Post match round up

A very poor game in the first half. The goals were lacking despite a couple of chances and 3 excellent saves from Mannone. The price when Arsenal scored in the 52nd minute dropped to prematch odds for the 1-2 scoreline allowing for a scratch trade. But it was hard work even with scalping the 0-0, 1-0 and 0-1 scorelines to bring down the liabilities.

Occasionally trades will be incredibly hard work and limiting losses/coming out scratch will happen.

  1. hi..

what do you mean by “lay off as usual?

  2. ya.. thanks so much…

  3. What about the 0-0?
You say Back 1-2 and Lay Off as usual.
i.e.: Back 1-2… When goal happens ==> Lay 1-2 for the green.
    What if no goal?
    Wouldn’t be better Back 0-0 + Back 1-2?
Plus if goal, do you think the 1-2 odds decrease will be enough to green out ( even with the previous 0-0 back)?

    • The strategy works but of course you need a goal. When trading in the live trading room we look to scalp down the red liability on the 0-0, 1-0 and 0-1 scorelines in this particular case.

This game had the makings of goals but unfortunately sometimes they don’t go in. When Arsenal took the lead after 52 minutes the 1-2 scoreline came in to the price it was at the start of the game allowing those that remained in the trade to lay off for a scratch trade. If the game had remained 0-0 at 60 minutes we would have then covered the lower scores, increasing our liabilities but making sure the 0-0, 1-0, 0-1 and the 1-1 were covered for at least a scratched amount.
