Trade of the day – Sat, 7 Aug

Post match roundup

As the clock ticked on and the dreaded 0-0 loomed ever nearer, we drew upon all the sound trading principles in our armoury. The principle one being – “do something”. Staring like a rabbit in the headlights (in this case a £200 liability) we backed 0-0 at HT for £20 and layed Shalke £50 thus reducing our red and of course any potential profit hould Shalke win. Bayern did in fact score twice but the trade overall demonstrated the need to be proactive and extremely focused. Even at 2-0 , the danger was 3-0 so a lay of the current score was necessary too. £5 loss instead of £200 was acceptable given that the pre match selection was wrong.

BAYERN MUNICH @ 2.64 v SHALKE @ 2.94 KO 16.45pm
The German (virtual) equivalent of The Charity Shield sees a Shalke side coming off the back
of 12 match unbeaten run, playing against last season`s double winners, Bayern Munich,
who they beat 3-1 last week.
Their intense summer transfer activity is markedly different to Bayern who have made no new signings.
La Liga stars Raul, Metzelder & Escudero are among the 8 new names wearing the Shalke shirt.
Bayern`s players who were on WC duty have only just reported back for training except the injured trio
of Breno, Ribery & Robben who will all be unavailable. The other German & Dutch international players
will play for only a limited number of minutes.

BACK SHALKE
BACK 1-0
BACK 1-1
BQCK 2-0
BACK 2-1
BACK 2-2
BACK 3-1

The dangers are 0-0/3-3/3-0/3-2/AUQ

We have covered 12/17 possible outcomes to give us a profit. Taking additional insurance on the above 5 danger
scorelines is a matter of personal choice but in doing so reduces your potential profit.
