Trade of the day – Fri, 27-8-10

Post match roundup

A killer 2nd goal in the first half by the underdog left us with a real dilemma (can traders use this word?). Surely the heavy odds on fav would pull at least one goal back – and we did have lovely green sitting on that scoreline. Hindsight is a wonderful thing because we can review the moves that were made at the moment. We decided to lay Bayern in the next goal market giving us 50% cover on the dog scoring again or no goal…..the other possible alternative was to lay the crap out of 2-1 & 2-2. As it transpired that would have produced a better result. A very clear cut decision then…went 50/50 on it and picked the wrong one.

This is the biggest fixture on the home team`s calendar and, as Miroslav Klose states, will be an intimidating atmosphere for Bayern.

  • Kaiserslautern have not beaten Bayern in last 17 competitive meetings
  • Kaiserslautern have not lost their opening home fixture in last 5 seasons
  • Bayern have not kept a clean sheet in last 7 games
  • Kaiserslautern`s promotion success from BL2 last season can be largley attributed to their mean defence
  • Over 2.5 @ 1.74 could be too low

Team News

  • Olic and Van Buyten are likely starters for Bayern
  • Demichelis is again left out of Bayern squad
